Hard  To  Find  Child's  Cup  from  the  Alley  Agate
Glass
Co  of  the  1930s  in
their  CHIQUITA
CARNIVAL
COLORS  Children's  Tea  Set .
The  Cup  measures  1 5/8  "  tall  .....  and  has  NO
damage  like  chips  ,  flakes  ,  dings  , bruises  ,  or
cracks  .....  NO  unsightly    bubbles  ,  scratches  ,
stains  ,  or  utensil  marks  . There  are  4  of  these
available  and  PRICE  IS  FOR  EACH  CUP  .

with  the  " J P " ,  but  are  NOT  the  CHIQUITA  pattern .

All  Chiquita  sets  were  manufactured  by  the  Alley
Agate  Co  ( a  competitor  of  the  Akro  Agate  Co  )  for
distribution  by  the  J .  Pressman  Co .  For  that  reason
many  ( not  all  )  pieces  were  embossed  on  the  base
with
a  "  J P  "  .  Chiquita  is  traditionally  known  as  a
SMALL  SIZED  Children's  set  (  meaning  no  bowls  or
sugar  lid  were  ever  made  for  these  sets  )  .  There  are
larger  sized  sets  also  marked  with  an  embossed  " J P "
as  seen  in  pictures  6  and  7  .  These  sets  are  NOT
Chiquita  sets  ,  and  are  known  as  " J P "  ,
" Plain  Jane " ,  "  Little  Orphan  Annie "  ,  and  "
Ribbed
Plain  Jane "  sets  .  Pictures  6  and  7  show  examples
of  the larger  similar  sets  that  are  also  embossed  with
" J P "  ,  but  are  NOT  the  CHIQUITA  pattern  .
