    Description

Beaumont Pottery Stoneware Jar with Houses, chimney smoke, Trees. York, Maine 1987. This jar is stamped BEAUMONT POTTERY / YORK, MAINE and was potted in York, Maine. The bottom of the jar is incised with a cross, (for Jerry Beaumont), and dated 1987. The decorator also signed the jar with their initials, DM. It measures 5” tall and 4.75” in diameter. The blue is very bold and vibrant and contrast just right with the clay color. The decoration fills the entire front of the jar. The condition is excellent and in as-made condition. No cracks, no hairlines, no chips and no repairs. Just a wonderful example of an early decorated Beaumont Pottery piece. Please see our numerous photos as they are an important part of the description.
