    Description

For auction is a wonderful piece of art pottery made by Door Pottery of Madison, Wisconsin. I have a wonderful vase that is influenced by by the arts and crafts movement. The vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 3 1/4" tall and is 4 3/4" in diameter. The bottom has a diameter of 3 1/2".
The vase has a Witches cauldron shape with a great glaze in a cucumber matte green that is extremely similar to Hampshire Pottery's matte green glaze. It has a wonderful Arts & Crafts theme of panels with incised cut out square windows. There are 4 panels and 2 windows opposite of each other per panel. These are cut out of the clay just under the top lip with 1 one each side. This pattern is on the idea of Weller Pottery's church window planters. Weller's were incised into the clay and these are actual cut outs. Weller had 4 windows incised 2 over 2 in the center area of the planter.
The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The vase is signed on the bottom with the impressed "DOOR" inside of an incised racetrack oval. There is also the cipher of the Artist "Scott Draves" and initials "JT" also incised. After speaking to the artist owner Scott Draves these were made in 2010. They were made for a specific client and only 40 of these were made. This is a very small run. They were designed to hold a Christmas wide bottom candle with the light flickering in the evening through the cut-outs.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of this year 2020.
I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments
. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the
    merchandise
    unless it is paid for.
    They are also n
ow charging all sellers a commission of 11.5% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 11.5%. This is an increase of 8.6% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 11.5% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.
If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
