Circa 1875 - A rare piece of food storage stoneware from J. Swank Co. Johnstown, Pennsylvania. One of the most popular potteries of its time. Just look over the shoulder of the narrator and you will see it tucked in between two other pieces of J. Swank pottery.PROVENANCE: This piece comes straight from my ancestors' old homestead in central PA. All of the crocks I have come from them. I'm selling just a couple for now. So-check in, I may be selling a couple more!
