    Description

Thank you, for your interest and for looking....
This vintage Batmobile kiddie ride was built in 1966 by Al Fischer & Company in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
Al Fischer & Company was a small father and son operated kiddie ride and novelty toy manufacturer that built certain alleged unlicensed coin operated kiddie rides during the 1960's.  These rides included Superman, The Green Hornet, Flipper, Bozo the Clown and the Batmobile. Several of the rides that Al Fischer built in the 1960's were made in conjunction with their respective, highly popular TV shows that aired during that same time period.
Supposedly, Al Fischer maintained a very low profile, off-of-the-radar screen, manufacturing operation in Fort Thomas, Kentucky that for years made very limited production coin operated kiddie rides.  Curiously, Al Fisher rides did not appear in any known promotional print display advertising nor could the rides be found on display at industry trade shows.that were common in the kiddie ride industry during that time.  It is widely believed, that due to the alleged unlicensed nature of some of the Al Fischer built rides, that by building only a small quantity of these unlicensed rides and by not seeking the attention of outside buyers through traditional promotion, Al Fisher could then avoid any potential infringement litigation or scrutiny from the TV studios or ownership interests of the characters that he made coin op rides representing or resembling their images.
Assuming these facts are true, this may provide in-sight into possibly why so few of these Batmobile rides may have been built originally and thus why even fewer of these rides are in existence today. This Al Fischer Batmobile Ride is probably, without question, the most challenging to find and the most sought-out and desirable version of the various vintage coin op Batmobile rides that are around today. Both coin op ride collectors and Batman enthusiasts alike, search out this Batmobile Ride due to its relative rarity, its iconic Batman bust and its unique appearance.
This Al Fisher Batmobile is being offered in "as-found" original condition. The ride has not been tested or shopped and it is not working. This Batmobile ride is being sold in "as-is" condition. This ride has been in storage for years and it has the obvious signs of wear and tear that you would expect for an original condition kiddie ride that is over 50 years old. The fiberglass body and the Batman bust itself, appear to be in good overall original condition, with numerous surface scratches and scrapes visible, as can be seen in the attached images. It appears that the ride is not mechanically complete and will require a complete restoration, including the replacement of mechanical parts, to become working again.  Please, carefully review all of the attached images and ask any question(s) that you may have,  We are always happy to try to help.
