    Description

For auction is a wonderful piece of art pottery made by Pisgah Forest of Arden, North Carolina. I have a vase that has a great glaze on it and was executed by a master.
The vase is a nice cabinet size as it stands 3 3/4" tall and is 5 1/8" in diameter. The bottom has a diameter of 2 13/16" and so does the inside top opening.
The vase displays a squat bulbous shape with a raised neck. It has one of the nicest crystalline glazes on a Pisgah Forest piece that I have ever owned. The crystalline crystals are plentiful on the lower half of the vessel and much weaker on the upper 1/2. You can see the gloss glaze with tans and light brown at the top raised neck and suspect this glaze is underneath the matte glaze covering it. Looking inside you see a gloss light brown over tan glaze waterproofing glaze.
The vase is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, nicks, chips or dings. The vase is signed on the bottom with the raised relief pottery turning a pot at the wheel with "Pisgah" on his back side and "Forest" on the other side". Just below this the the master potter "W.B. Stephen" for Walter B. Stephen 1926-1961 raised cipher mark. The date of 1936 is split in half with the "19" being at his back feet and "36" on the other side bottom of the potters wheel. This makes this pot to have been made circa 1936.

I want to apologize for slowing down my shipping time. Ebay forced me into managed payments in July of this year 2020.
I used to get my money in 24 hours. I now get it in 3-4 business days. I was told it would be better for me and my fees would go down. This has been the opposite as my fees have actually increased and now it takes longer for me to receive the payments
. Because of this slowdown I will not ship until the payment has made it into my bank account. No store lets you out of the building with the
    merchandise
    unless it is paid for.
    They are also n
ow charging all sellers a commission of 11.5% on sales tax. Pay Pal used to charge 2.9% payment processing fee but Ebay has changed this to 11.5%. This is an increase of 8.6% on the sales tax portion. They are now making a profit on the sales tax and treating it as a sale which in my eyes is wrong!! They did the same on the shipping charges several years ago. They use to not charge anything and now they are charging 11.5% commission on shipping as well. This has raised the cost to ship items to you, the buyer and this is factored into my shipping charges.
If you feel what Ebay is doing is wrong or you don't agree them please contact Ebay and voice your opinion. Maybe if enough of you do this, they will change their policy.
