Rare Un-Listed Akro Agate Crystal Clear Sawtooth Powder Jar

Description

A  vintage  and  exceedingly  rare  crystal  Sawtooth
Powder  Jar  from
the  Akro  Agate  Glass  Co.  of  the  1930s
in  their  General  Line ,  and  found  in  a  West  Virginia
Antique  shop
.  Hardy's  book  (  THE  COMPLETE
LINE  OF  THE  AKRO  AGATE  CO.  )  pictures  only  the
Pumpkin  and  the  Yellow  version  with  a  center  design  ,  and
makes  mention  of  blue  pieces  dug  at  the  site  .  Unlisted  in
Crystal  ,   it  measures  the  same  5  1/2 "  diameter  as  the  2
pictured  in  Hardy's  book  (  Yellow  ,  Pumpkin  )  ,  has  the
same  40  " ribs "  ,  the  same  3  1/2 "  round  center  ,  and
stands  the  same  1  3/4 "  height
Picture  3  shows  one  small  chip  off  one  tooth  ,  but
it  has   NO  other  damage  of  chips  ,  flakes  , dings  ,
bruises  ,   repairs  ,  or  cracks  ...... NO
unsightly
bubbles  ,
scratches  ,  stains  ,  or  utensil   marks  .
