Very Early Akro Agate Orange/White Ashtray / Marked Embossing A a / Rare

Description

A  very  early  rare  vintage  Orange &  White  ashtray  from  the  Akro  Agate  Glass
Co  of  the  1930s  in  their   GENERAL   LINE  of   production  pieces  .
It  measures   4  1/4 "
across  the  top   in  overall  diameter  ,   and  stands  3/4
"  high   .   It  has  1 medium  sized
chip  on  the  outside  edge  (  picture  3  )  ,  but  no  other  damage
like   dings  ,
bruises  ,
repairs  ,
or  cracks  ...... NO  unsightly  bubbles  ,
scratches  ,
stains  , or
utensil
marks  .
This  very  early  " no - tab "  style  was  the  pre-cursor
to  the
Star  ,  middle - rest  ,  and
George  Washington  ashtrays  .  The  mark  on  the  underside  ,  Big  A  little  A  ,  is  the
earliest  known  mark  of  the  Akro  Agate  Company  ..... and  very  rarely  ever  seen  .
