Vintage Braun & Corwin "Akro Agate Style" Alley Agate Thumbpot with ridged edge in shades of green swirl pattern.
Stamped on the bottom with Braun & Corwin. No Chips or cracks on this very cute piece.
Such a cute little piece. From the research I found on the internet, the Braun & Corwin pot is slightly different from the Akro Agate Thumbpots. The Braun & Corwin pot was made to be sold in a childs do-it-yourself kit. It came with a holder and three flower pots. They would put fake flowers in the pots and also decorated the holder. This was during the 1940's. The Braun & Corwin pots came in colors never used by Akro Agate Co.
The above paragraph is just something I read, but you can try and do some research as I haven't found many of these by Braun & Corwin.
The pot measures 1-1/4" tall x 1-1/4" wide at the rim tapering down to 7/8" wide at the bottom.
