SET OF 6 DORCHESTER POTTERY MUGSThis is a great set of 6 nautical theme mugs. All are signed “Knesseth Denisons” on the base. The designs are “Harbor Lights”, “Anchors Aweigh”, “Captain”, Eight Bells”, “Thar She Blows”, and “Sailors Horn Pipe”. This complete set of mugs was the original designs of Knesseth Denisons for Filene’s department store. Filene’s gift shop offered the mugs accompanied with a pitcher (which is not included) in May of 1946. Knesseth Denisons passed away in 1960.All 6 mugs have strong coloring and the glazing is smooth with very few if any minor manufacturing flaws, which is so typical and normal of Dorchester items. There does not appear to be any post sale damage to these items.
